Abstract

7256. Marendowski, V. March 25, 1909, [Convention date]. Press-button, fasteners.-The socket 3 of an adjustable stud-and-socket fastening is formed by embossing or stamping-out longitudinally the centre of a metal plate 1, thereby forming slits 5 or 6 which give lateral spring action to the socket. The socket is provided with ridges 7, 9 or the like, which are engaged by similar ridges on a stud formed in the same way as the socket but shorter. The socket may be formed as a comb, as shown in Figs. 19 and 20, and may be provided with flanges 16 by which it may be attached to the fabric. The form shown in Figs. 1, 2, and 3 is secured to the fabric by a separate frame 18, Figs. 21 and 23, which has lateral projections 19 or 20 to engage projections 11 on the socket, as shown in Fig. 34.
