Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring, and rubber-ring and like cushions.-Vehicle wheels and pulleys, of the kind in which inner and outer members are connected by transverse bolts passing through solid rubber cushions, are characterized by vulcanizing the cushions to the bolts or to sleeves surrounding the bolts, and also to bushes surrounding the cushions and attached to the wheel member. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, detachable flanges 9 on the outer rim of a wheel or pulley carry shouldered bolts 3 passing through cushions 4 formed with perforations 11 and enclosed by bushes o. The metal surfaces are roughened or grooved, and the vulcanizing is effected with the interposition of hard rubber or vulcanite. In the form for heavy wheels shown in Fig. 4 twin rims 1<a>, 1<b> and the inner wheel 2 carry bushes with cushions on a common bolt 3. In this form the bolt may be rigidly fixed to the inner wheel member.
