4755. Webb, C. G. D. Feb. 25. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and pneumatic cushions.-A pneumatictyred wheel is enclosed in a two-part sheet-metal casing A which is free to move between the hub flanges D and side plates E and is provided with steel tyres B, B<1>, the outer of which is renewable. A driving-connexion between the casing and the wheel is obtained by means of chains connecting the casing to the spokes or by means of two-part yokes G surrounding the spokes C and secured to the casing by nuts H.
