Overlap joints with inner pipe gripped by packing.-In a coupling for fixing a hose to a tap 0, a conical rubber or like washer W is adapted to be squeezed on to the tap by means of a metal cone C, which is drawn towards a socket B on the hose by a screw ring R. The washer W rests on a loose seating S and may be outwardly flared over the top of the cone C. A connexion having two couplings as described of the same or different diameters may be used to join two tubes &c.
