Cylinders, pipes for. -A device for mixing hydrocarbon vapour and air is placed between the carburettor and the engine intake pipe and consists of a metal ring 8, between the flanges 9, 10 of which are secured a foraminous metal diaphragm 12 and a ring of wick or fibrous material 11. The diaphragm 12 may be replaced by a perforated metal plate.
