Spray carburettors.-A carburettor has capillary or other fuel passages D<2> supplied from a well A<1>, which communicates with an annular float feed chamber B, the passages consisting of grooves cut in the abutting surfaces of one or both of the tubes D, F, and the primary air passing up the tube D and through perforations D<3>. The upper end of the tube D is closed either permanently or by a suction valve E adjustable by nuts E<5>. Air tubes G with upper ends slightly above the perforations D<3> have their lower ends controlled by a perforated plate G', and gauze screens H, H' and a heating-jacket L, supplied with exhaust gases or other heating-fluid, are provided. The throttle is of known construction and is provided with an air by-pass controlled by a perforated plate J<6>. According to the Provisional Specification, the fuel passages consist of capillary tubes attached to the outside of the primary air-passage.
