8566. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. May 8, 1912, [Convention date]. Field carriages; recoil apparatus. - Relates to pedestal bases for anchoring field guns in the firing position. According to the invention, the pivot B, which is rotatably mounted in the base A, has an upper part B<1> slidable thereon, in longitudinal guides b<6>, when a retaining-pin C is removed. The part B<1> has bearings b<3>, b<4> for the wheel-axle G of the gun-carriage F. The trail of the carriage is connected by a yoke E to two studs r<1> on a ring R rotatable around the base A. The sliding connexion between the parts B, B' enables the trail to be lifted during the traverse of the carriage without tilting the pedestal.
