8265. Holland, H. W., and Mansfield, W. April 8. Sights; breech actions, sliding breech-block.- Relates to bolt-action guns having a safety device adapted to turn on a longitudinal axis, and consists in mounting the sight on the safety device. In Figs. 1, 2, and 3 the invention is shown applied to a Mauser rifle. The aperture sight k is mounted on the rotary safety-device a, and a second notch j, in addition to the usual notch g, is cut in the disk f to enable the gun to he fired when the sight is vertical.
