Rotary apparatus. - A spraying-device for humidifying air comprises two disks A, B, Fig. 1, rotated by pulleys E, G in opposite directions, and provided with pegs or fingers C which beat the low-pressure water issuing from the pipes K. A fan H carries the spray away. Fig. 2 shows a modification in which water is fed from a pipe P to the interior of a rotating cone M having a roughened inner surface. The mist is carried away by the fan 0. To regulate the supply of water according to the natural humidity of the air, a cotton band or the like, which alters in tension with the state of the atmosphere, acts upon the stem T of a balanced valve S, Fig. 3, which controls the supply of water to the sprayer.
