Abstract

191,225. Neate, F. H. Nov. 10, 1921. Reel and endless-web apparatus; actuating and controlling.-An advertising device for moving vehicles comprises an endless band mounted upon rollers H, H one of which is driven by an endless cord I passing over a pulley D. Motion is communicated to the cord by a pair of quadrant plates G loosely mounted upon a frame F carrying wheels which roll in contact with a central supporting member B. Movement of the vehicle causes the wheels to roll on the member B and thus one or other of the quadrant plates is forced into contact with the driving cord I which is carried in the same direction as that in which the wheels travel. If preferred, the whole of the driving mechanism may occupy a position at right angles to that shown in which case the cord passes over the ends of one of the rollers H and over pulleys C.
