Two-stroke-engines; pumps.-In an engine in which combustible mixture is compressed by an annular piston carried by an extension on the main piston which extension slides over a depending cylinder head, the annular compression chamber is formed by a removable liner L, and the cylinder wall B terminates below the depending head F. The charge enters a chamber T which communicates permanently with the annular pump space below the piston J and after compression is admitted to the cylinder through the ports P, Q.
