Abstract

16,419. Muller, M. H. July 13. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-Relates to engines in' which air is forced during the compression stroke into an auxiliary chamber containing a charge of liquid fuel which, on lowering the pressure in the cylinder by opening a valve leading, to a second auxiliary chamber, is injected into the cylinder by the pressure of air in the first auxiliary chamber. The invention comprises a valve d, whereby the compressed air is admitted by the passage i into the auxiliary chamber b containing the charge of fuel, and the fuel is prevented by the cylindrical part from entering the cylinder until the air passage i, is cut off by the raising of the valve. The fuel may be fed to the auxiliary chamber just before it has to be injected into the cylinder.
