Abstract
5680. Dillon, J. J. March 25, 1911, [Convention date]. Aerial machines without aerostats; cars; framework.-An aerial machine is raised by two propellers 11, 12 and is propelled by a propeller 3. The car 2 is mounted low down on a pillar 1 which supports framework 5, 6 carrying the elevator 7, rudder 8, and the lifting-propellers. A parachute 15 can be released from the car. Propelling. - Two oppositely - driven lifting-propellers comprising a frame with lifters 13 of approximately box - like form, are mounted on the frames 5, 6 and they may be driven at different speeds. A driving-propeller 3 is also provided. Parachutes.-A parachute 15 is carried at the top of the pillar or tube 1 and has cables 16 connected to a ring 17 which slides on a staff 14 and can be released by a cord 18 from the car.
