Abstract

5064. Barron, T. G. Feb. 29. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Fluid governors.-A valve c is carried by a diaphragm e or piston subjected on its underside to the pressure of the steam entering at a, and on its upper side to the pressure of the steam as delivered to the engine. If the speed increases, the pressure on the upper side falls, the valve moves against the spring d, and the ports c<1> are partly closed. The diaphragm may have stiffening-ribs. Adjustable ports f may be provided in the valves. Specification 16,499/10 is referred to.
