Stream-cutting machines; endless-chain machines; tamping-machines. - A machine for moulding interlocking cement tiles comprises a framework d along which moulds x are intermittently fed by a carriage i reciprocated by a crank h and rod 7. Material contained in a hopper 13 is cut off by slides r, s carried by a frame o which is reciprocated by the carriage i. The slide s is adjustable by screws and is inclined to direct the material into the moulds. Pressure is applied by a beater z, which is oscillated about a strap l by an eccentric k operated from the shaft f. The moulds then pass beneath smoothing-irons. Colour is applied by a brush 16 rotating in contact with a roller 15 mounted beneath the colour-container 14. After passing a final smoothing-device n, the tiles are severed by a cutter y and lifted, together with the moulds, by a hinged frame a<1> operated by the crank h.
