Rotary-table machines; delivery; feeding; moulds; pressure - producing mechanism; cleaning-apparatus. -In machines of the kind in which plastic or powdered material is shaped in moulds F<3>, carried by a rotary table F, between upper and lower dies C, C<1>, carried by cross heads B, B<1>, reciprocated by cams D, E, one or both of the cams are provided with interchangeable portions D<3>, E<3>, secured to the main portion by bolts D<4> E<4> whereby the operation of the dies may be readily varied. The lower dies work through a stationary block M which may assist in the shaping operation and may be adjustable. Motion is imparted by a belt &c. to the shaft D<1> of the cam D and is transmitted through gearing to the shaft E<1> of the cam E The table F is intermittingly rotated from the shaft E<1> through pin and slot mechanism G<1>, H<1>, and spur and bevel gearing H<2>, and is locked, after each movement, by a lever J operated by a cam G carrying the pin G<1>. Material is fed to the moulds from a hopper K having flexible edges engaging the table and fittsd with an agitator K<1> operated by a crank or eccentric K<3> driven from the shaft D<1> by a belt K<4>. The moulded articles are forced from the moulds by an ejector N on to a conveyer O; or the articles may be ejected upwardly or removed by a scraper. An inclined scraper with a flexible edge cleans the upper surface of the table F. The moulds F<3> are interchangeably secured to the plate F by screws.
