Abstract

3167. Stocker, A. P. Feb. 13, 1911, [Convention date]. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and metal springs. - The spoke ring .1, Figs. 1 and 2, is in two parts with registering socket portions 3 for spokes and with brackets 5 on the interior. The brackets are connected across by resilient straps 37 which form a starlike figure and engage rollers 19 in-the hub. Helical springs 7 arranged on the straps bear against blocks 9, 10, resting respectively on the brackets and 'on the sides of the hub. The hub is formed of two blocks 11, 12, and two outside plates 13, 14, formed with passages for the straps. The parts are fitted together by dowelpins and are held securely by plates 36 on the axle.
