[Addition to 7280/14.] Metallic-spring bodies and cores.-The spring devices of the kind described in the parent Specification are secured upon saddle-pieces 27 fitted between the beads 17 of the cover. The inner springs 37 fit between projections 34 on plates 33 secured to the saddles, and the ends 36 of the outer springs 35 are arranged over rollers 32 journaled in slots in the saddles. In the construction shown, the saddles are recessed to engage the seating-ring 25. The contacting parts of the springs 35, 37 may be of different metals. The tread cushion consists of woven fabric &c. 19 with a rubber core 20. Tyre attachments to rims.-The edges 17 of the cover are clamped between a rim flange 13, a central ring 25, and a detachable flange 15.
