Abstract

1176. Arsdale, J. H. van. Jan. 15, 1909, [Convention date]. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and metallic springs other than helical and volute springs.-Curved spring spokes 16 are fitted together in pairs in radial slots in a twopart hub, and their outer ends are held in pockets 28, Fig. 4, formed by the abutting ends of hollow rim sections 19. The sections engage by means of projections and recesses a.t the sides, each section being formed with similar ends. A bolt 26 inserted through an aperture 34 secures each spoke and connects two sections. Integral flanges 20 hold a tyre.
