Magnets; magnetoelectric machines.-A magnetizing-winding is permanently mounted on the magnet system of an ignition or other magneto machine for the purpose of magnetizing it, after assemblage or machining, by a large momentary current which is limited by means of a fuse. One end of the winding may be connected to the body of the machine. In the built-up multi-polar magnet shown, the overlapping magnets a are retained in the slotted flanges b by rings c and enclose the magnetizing-coil c, of which one end is connected to the core and the other to an insulated plug contact to which the current is led through a fuse.
