Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-In a liquid fuel engine in which a number of combustion chambers are formed by recessing the cylinder wall, the cylinder cover and the piston, the fuel inlets are centrally arranged in the combustion chambers so that, after the piston has commenced its stroke, the fuel enters the space between the piston and cover unimpeded.
