Abstract

26,983. Gilbert, A. E. Dec. 2. Anchors.-Stockless anchors are provided with pivoted detachable arms a mounted on trunnions c<5>, which are integral with a block c. The shank e of the anchor is rotatable in the block c and is constructed with a shoulder e<3> engaging the recess c<4> in the block. The shank e is inserted from the lower side of the block c and held in position by a ring f. The arms a are retained in position on the trunnions by washers g and a yoke-piece d. Stop-pieces c<6> in one with the block c of oval form engage recesses a<3> in the arms a and limit their movement. The yoke-piece d ensures that both arms a will swing together. In a modification, the trunnions c<5> are provided with recesses engaged by projections on the arms a.
