22,851. Harrison, C. E. Oct. 17. Hoods of the kind in which the cant-rail is connected by lever mechanism with the stretcher bars e to effect simultaneous folding of the parts. The cant-rail h is hinged at h<2> to a lever arm i<2> so that it can be turned into a position with the front part extending rearwards above the arm i<2> prior to turning this arm downwards against the upright c<2> about the pivot i'. The arm i<3> has an extension i' connected by a link l to a bell-crank m<2> rigid with the pivot pin m of the stretcher bar e. The other arm m<3> of the bell-crank m<a> may be connected to the usual telescopic spring rod f.
