[Cognate Application, 21,919/11.] Piston packing.-The pistons of hyperdermic syringes and plungers are provided with a recessed metal end 3, fitting the cylinder, in which a metal cupshaped piece 4 is loosely held by a partly threaded stem 7, which is screwed through a hole 10 in the end of the piston, so as to expand the piston when acted on by fluid pressure.
