Abstract

16,932. Hayes, J. A. J. July 24. Rotary offset machines.-A lithographic machine for printing on paper, fabrics, &c. is constructed with continuous printing, offset, and impression surfaces, so that a continuous unbroken pattern may be printed. As shown, a machine of the kind described in Specification 9365/07 is employed, the printing-cylinders d being similarly mounted and driven, but being formed with perfectly continuous surfaces. The impression cylinder of the machine described in the before - mentioned Specification is replaced by an offset cylinder b having a continuous surface, and there is an additional impression cylinder i which is also formed with a continuous surface. The cylinders d are exact factors of the cylinder b.
