Abstract

[Cognate Application, 8751/11.] Spray carburettors are provided with variable jets and with separate valves for controlling supplementary air and mixture. The valves D are semicylindrical and slide transversely to the air and mixture passages C, C<1>, but concentric sleeve or co-axial valves may be used. The fuel may be controlled by a disk V having an eccentric or camshaped periphery more or less covering one or more fuel orifices, by a - disk having one or several holes, slots, saw-cuts, &c. brought into coincidence with several or a single hole, slot, saw-cut, &c. in the part A, or by a sleeve surrounding the fuel nozzle and having a helical end more or less closing fuelorifices in the side of the nozzle. The disk V is adjusted by a lever 0 or a milled cap. The mixing-chamber is slipped over the part A and secured thereto by a clamp. F. The primary air passes through slots E or through holes in the bottom of the mixing-chamber B. Specifications 27,974/07 and 27,636/09 are referred to.
