Abstract

707. Whitmer, A. K. Jan. 10. Band.-The ends of the band are connected by links 17, 20 to a plate 24 slotted as at 27 to engage a fixed pin 11. A projection 26 on the plate may be provided to press the end of the band on to the brake drum when the rod 29 is pulled to apply the brake. Compensating for wear.-One of the links is in two parts connected by a right and left handed nut 21.
