[Cognate Application, 677 / 11.] Brake mechanism.- Brake and other fittings are attached to cycles and the like by means of a headed member d extending diametrically through the handle-bar or other tube of the cycle, the fitting or bearing a being screwed into or on to said member. In order that the bearing a may be brought into alinement with the bar, a resilient washer f may be interposed between the bearing a or the head e and the bar. The washer may have point contact with the bar, or the head e may be itself resilient, being made of thin metal or having point contact with the bar.
