Brake mechanism.-Roller-lever brake brackets are secured to cycle handle-bars by means of an expansible split sleeve d and a screw-actuated wedging-device e connected to the bracket b. The conical-headed screw e and sleeve dare passed through a hole in the handle-bar, and the sleeve is then expanded by screwing-up the bracket; preferably a washer f, formed with a hole shaped so as to prevent rotation of the sleeve, is provided. The sleeve may be formed in one piece with the washer; and instead of using a headed screw e, the bracket may have a screwed stem engaging a tapered nut fitting within the sleeve.
