Abstract

25,420. Radnall, E. A., [trading as Radnall & Co., E. A.]. Dec. 7. Brakes.-For mounting a pair of roller brake-operating levers upon the handle-bars of a cycle, a bracket embracing the stem has pierced ears 2, 3 forming bearings for the ends of the levers, while inturned portions 11, 12, 13, 14 prevent the bracket from collapsing when tightened up by a bolt 8. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the bracket is made from a metal blank, but, if desired, it may be in two parts B<1>, B<2>, Fig. 8, which, threaded upon the bandle-bars of the bicycle, are secured in position upon each side of the central lug by a bolt 8, inwardly-projecting parts 21 abutting against the stem to prevent movement of the bracket when the brakes are applied. According to the Provisional Specification, the bearing-ears may be formed in one with the handle-bar lug.
