Mud - guards.- In detachable mud - guards for velocipedes, of the kind wherein the stays are attached to the wheel axles without disturbing their position in the forks, the socket f which receives the mudguard stays g comprises a pair of frames with holes j to pass over the axle nut, the frames being movable relatively in a parallel direction in order to grip the nut. As shown in Fig. 3. an inner ring or frame k has a screw-threaded stem l passing through an outer frame formed with distanced walls f<1>, the clamping of the nut c being effected by the relative movement of the frames by means of a nut m bearing upon a seating on the outer frame.
