Brake mechanism. - In brakes for velocipedes, the shoes are eccentrically attached to the yoke member b, so as to permit their separate adjustment relatively to the wheel rim. The eccentric heads c<1> of the bolts c are flanged at c<2> to engage holes in lugs a<1> on the metal holders a of the brake shoes. The lugs a<1> may be formed with side flanges a<2>, and the outer ends of the bolts c are grooved at c<3> so that they can be held by a screwdriver while the nuts d are being tightened up.
