Brake mechanism.-For mounting the roller levers c of cycle brakes upon the handle-bars, a bolt-like member a inserted into the bar bears upon the inner surface thereof and is provided with screwed extremities c which project through holes in the bar for the attachment thereto of the lever bearings d. A washer f is preferably interposed as a saddle-piece between the exterior surface of the handle-bar and the bearing-piece d. The member a may be inserted from one end of the bar, or the holes may be enlarged to enable one end of the member to be introduced through one hole and then worked out through the other. To limit the rotary movement of the lever, one of the bearing-pieces may be slotted at g to receive a stop-peg h upon the lever.
