Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and helical and volute springs.-A casing enclosing the felloe and supported by two series of coiled springs placed on each side thereof is formed of inner and outer parts 3, 4, Figs. 1, 2, and 3, of U-section, connected by annular plates 5 with stepped edges. The inner part 4 is formed with tubular projections 6, fitted with packing, which embrace the spokes. Arms 12 formed on the plates are secured to the projections by clamps 13. Other tubular projections 20 are formed, through which pass rods 16, passing through circumferential slots in the felloe, and screwing into bosses 18 in the outer part 3. The heads of the rods are flanged and screw on the projections 20. The springs may be formed in radial pairs connected by parts 21 crossing the felloe.
