[Addition to 17,101/09.] Holders.-A cover of insulating-material, preferably fire-resisting and moulded, is made in halves A, A<1> which fit together over the holder C and have an internal flange D at the bottom, under the nut of the holder. An internally flanged insulating - ring E holds the halves together. The parts of the shield, together with a shade J, if desired, are clamped together by an insulating-nut G, which screws on to the socket part of the holder, and has a tubular extension protecting the cap of the lamp, as described in the parent Specification. In a modification, the ring E is dispensed with, and the halves of the cover are held together by projections fitting into an annular recess in the nut G. A spring clip or screws may be used to assist to keep the halves together.
