Mountings.-Ranging and pointing gear is employed, in t h e manner described below, in connexion with the special means for correcting the sights of high - angle fire guns which forms the invention. The sight e, shown in Fig. 1, is carried on a toothed sector b' loosely mounted on one trunnion c. The gun a is moved relatively to the sector for ranging by operating a pinion b<6> on the gun cradle b, and the gun and sector are moved together for pointing by operating a pinion b<8> on the gun carriage d.
