Overlap joints without longitudinal pressure. - Metallic pipe conduits are rendered electrically c o n - tinuous by pressing or stamping two grooves B side by side in the socket member A of the fitting, into which grooves the legs of a staple D are driven so as to wedge in between the socket member and the spigot member C. The enamel coating is pierced and electric contact ensured by the process, and the staple can be removed if necessary.
