[Class 99 (i)] A pipe joint comprises a sleeve 5 secured on the end of a pipe 4 and a packing ring 7 compressed in a socket 6 and around the sleeve by a gland nut 9 and a compression ring 8 having a stepped portion 8a which engages the end of the sleeve.
