Abstract
25,449. Henley's Telegraph Works Co., W. T., and Penning, S. H. Nov. 4. Couplings. - A device for connecting a branch to any selected core of a multicore cable comprises a metal ring D, made in halves, which surrounds the insulation of the cable, and is provided with a series of tapped holes f, through one of which a pointed set - screw g passes which pierces the insulation and makes contact with the selected core. Through another of the tapped holes, a set-screw h is passed, which secures the terminal eye j of the branch k in such a manner that it may be adjusted about the axis of the set-screw h. A separate ring is used for each core to which a branch is connected.
