Couplings.-A coupling, more particularly for connexions between branches and multicore supply mains, consists of a metal strip c which is passed around one of the bared cores b of the cable and clamped against it by means of a block d acted on by a screw f. The strip c is held against the block e either by means of a coned sleeve g, Fig. 4, or by means of screws h, Fig. 7. The outer end of the strip k is attached to the branch conductor i by bending its end into tubular form and clamping by a screw clamp j. After jointing, the conductors are insulated.
