Abstract
574,323. Two-part couplings; distribution boards. LACOSTE, L. Feb. 22, 1944, No. 15744/43. [Class 38 (i)] Cables are connected together by a coupling attached to each cable end L, L<1> comprising a hollow ferrule J having a coned contact surface and an external collar J<2> against which abuts a ring 'nut K adapted to screw on to a cooperating female coned member which may be in the form of a union C or of a straight or bent terminal A, H. The union has an angular enlargement C<1> for screwing up the coupling, and one or more terminals A, H may be clamped between the enlargement C<1> and a nut D for making lateral connections to the union C. This assembly can be used in a junction box, or the bent and straight terminals can be assembled together or to the face of a bus-bar.
