Abstract

9323. Stratton, J., and Claremont, E. A. April 30. Couplings.-A cable connector consists of two outer shells A having inner surfaces partly tapered and partly threaded to engage the threaded part of an inner sleeve B, the ends of which are tapered. The tapered ends of the plug are bored and slotted to fit over the centre core of the cable C, the outer strands of which are clamped between the tapered part of the inner sleeve B and the shell A. The connector may be made with one end as shown, the other end being formed as an adapter for fittings.
