Abstract

Straps and bands.- To prevent trousers from bagging at the knees, a strap a is provided, which is attached at its upper end to the back of the trousers and at its lower end below the fork, so that, when the wearer sits down, the strap is tightened and raises the knee portion. The strap a, Fig. 4, terminates in a narrow strap c passing through a strap d and sewn at its end to a band e attached to the trousers. The strap a, Fig. 2, may be attached to the trousers by a buckle b, and a broad strap f may cover .the strap c and be attached by a loop or sewing &c. g to strap a. As shown in Fig. 5, the strap c is sewn to the strap a, so that one strap a or f is always loose, according to whether the wearer is sitting or not. The strap f may have eyelets h for sewing.
