Abstract

Feeding-appliances; mixing solids in definite proportions. - In apparatus for feeding clay, comprising cylinder arranged above a turntable, grooves are formed on the turntable which deliver the stones to a particular point in the cylinder wall, where they are removed separate from the clay. The lower end of each cylinder is surrounded by a sleeve, the height of which can be adjusted so as to regulate the discharge from the cylinder. The cylinders 6 are arranged over a turntable 3, provided with grooves as shown, which deliver the stones to intermittently rotating blade-wheels 11. Scrapers 12 discharge the clay through a central opening in the turntable on to the conveyer band 13.
