Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores; tread bands, projections, and surfaces; tyre attachments to rims.-An elastic tyre consists of a sectional steel bed a formed with a groove of tapering section, a rounded solid rubber body b shaped to fit the bed, and transverse studded leather tread strips c. The strips are clamped between the body and the bed, and the tyre is secured to the rim by radial bolts d with heads engaging the groove.
