2780. Killen, E. B. Feb. 7. Tyres, elastic other than pneumatic; felloes or rims.-An elastic tyre comprises rubber sections A moulded with hollow tread projections A' of dumbbell formation. The sections are secured on the wheel by a perforated steel band B so that the tyre base is compressed and the air-spaces A3 are rendered air-tight. The tyre may be further secured by means of radial bolts E screwed into disks C which are fitted in some or all of the recesses A<3>. In a modification adapted for heavier work, each tyre section is formed with three projecting parts.
