18,130. Jolly, J., and Willis, P. E. Aug. 6. Combing-machines, Heilmann type. A single feed-roller A is employed working in conjunction with an extension d of the lower edge of the lap-plate D. The feed-roller is mounted above the cushion plate B so that its lower surface is in the same horizontal plane as the nip of the detaching-rollers C, C<1>. The lapplate D is pivoted on a suitable fulcrum E and is controlled by a spring F. Specification 19,103/08 is referred to.
