Abstract
11,163. Fetersen, T., and Callender's Cable and Construction Co. May 22. Diving.-Electric conductors extensible with and forming part of a haulage rope, life-line, diver's air tube, &c. are made with a central core a, Fig. 3, of elastic material with conducting-wires b laid. around it and ,covered with a sheath c of rubber or other elastic insulating-material. The conductor is combined with an air-tube by passing it through the die forming the tube so that the conductor is embodied in the wall of the tube. Figs. 1 and 2 show methods of combining the conductors with life-lines. The Provisional Specification states that the conductors may be insulated with vulcanized rubber and used as the core of a life-line as shown in Fig. A of the drawings accompanying the Provisional Specification.
