Abstract

190,513. Lamplugh, H. A. Aug. 19, 1921. Addition to 182,165, [Class 136 (iii), Velocipedes &c., Kinds &c. of]. Tubes. - Joints as described in the parent Specification for securing together the tubular members of cycle handle-bars by means of sockets or lugs without the use of brazing are applied generally to the joints of cycle, motor-cycle, side-car, and perambulator frames, and like tubular structures. A pressed socket 30 is united to a tube 29 by interengaging end flanges 35, 36, and also by means of drawn through flanged holes 37. According to the Provisional Specification the end of the tube may be expanded over the end of the socket, and the socket may be attached to the flange upon the tube by an eyelet, tubular rivet, or the like.
