Abstract

Reflectors. - In order to obtain more perfect reflection, a reflector for an electric, incandescent gas, or other light is made of glass or other transparent material, the back being covered with quicksilver and protected by a coating of paint or varnish. Fig. 1 shows a conical reflector for use with an electric lamp, and Fig. 5 a flat reflector a supported upon a lamp chimney.
